A little tribute to the inimitable Robbie Lee, star of the 1975 cult classic, "Switchblade Sisters." Robbie's riot grrl "Lace" was cool before her time, sneering and leering her way through Jack Hill's juvenile delinquent gang epic. After a handful of appearances in film and television throughout the 70s and 80s, Robbie turned to voice over work in the 1980s -- utilizing her unique voice for a variety of children's cartoons. She is currently working on projects with her own company, Dreamin Ridge Productions. |
Robbie Lee as Lace in, "Switchblade Sisters." (R to L): Quentin Tarantino, Robbie Lee, Asher Brauner, Joanne Nail, Don Stark and Jack Hill at the 1996 re-release. |
